Joe McDermott
Managing Director, Joe McDermott, has 30 years’ experience in construction, civil engineering and planning. With a wealth of practical insight, Joe advises clients on plans which really work – and those which will deliver the very best outcome or greatest commercial return.
Anyone can spot a clear development opportunity, but over 80% of the planning proposals which Joe has turned into reality during his long career have been far from obvious. Gareth Capner
Consultant, Gareth Capner is a senior advisor to the planning team at Albright Dene. A leading authority in UK planning over four decades, Gareth brings a depth and breadth of planning experience and knowledge which is unparalleled across the profession.
He graduated from Sheffield University in 1970 after attending its first ever Town and Regional Planning course. He worked for Berkshire and Kent County Councils and the Ministry of Housing and Local Government before joining architects Barton Willmore in 1979 as their first Town Planner. Gareth helped to grow Barton Willmore to its current status as one of the largest independent planning and design consultancies, before retiring as Senior Partner in 2008.
Gareth provides strategic property advice to companies, institutions and Neighbourhood Plan Committees; gives business advice to growing consultancies and is Chairman of HM Government’s Housing Design Awards.
